Boys Tennis Claim District Championship; Girls Second
The Varsity Boys Tennis Team won the FHSAA Class 1A FHSAA District Championship on Thursday, April 5 at Saint Andrew’s School. Senior Tony Russell won the individual district title at the number one position and the number one doubles team of Tony Russell and Clay Fender took the boys doubles district title. Andrew Dykeman (3), Clay Fender (4), and Ross Weissman (5) all placed first at their positions. The doubles team of Andrew Dykeman and Nicky Mill claimed first place at the second position. The boys have advanced to regionals which will be played at Saint Andrew’s next week. Congratulations boys!
The Varsity Girls Tennis Team claimed the runner-up trophy with Amanda Soo Ping Chow placing first at the number five position. The doubles team of Ginny Peck-Phillips and Amanda Soo Ping Chow claimed the first place ribbonn at the number two postion. The girls have advanced to compete in the regional tournament to be played next week. Congratulations girls!
